Bila layu masukkan rempah kari daging dan sedikit air. Kemudian, kacau hingga pecah minyak. Masukkan daging dan kacau hingga masak. Angkat dan sejukkan. Bancuh tepung gandum, telur dan santan. Kacau hingga sebati. Masukkan garam dan gula dan kacau lagi supaya tidak berketul. Biarkan adunan cair sedikit. Dengan menggunakan api yang kecil, panaskan acuan kuih cara (cetak bahulu) yang telah disapu minyak. Kemudian, tuangkan adunan tepung ke dalamnya. Taburkan daging, daun bawang, daun sup, dan hirisan cili merah ke atasnya dan tutup. Masukkan garam dan serbuk perasa ikut suka. Biarkan sehingga masak.
